About Me

I am a Junior year student at the University of North Texas where I have been opportunities to position myself in a prime position for future success after graduating in the Spring of 2023. I will be working as a Middle and Large Commercial Underwriter Intern at The Hartford during the summer of 2022.

I’ve been taking advantage of opportunities to gain industry relevant working experience while I earn my BBA in Finance. I started working at Fidelity Investments in October of 2020 — a few months after I started college. After receiving a promotion in January 2022, I am now an Amendment Consultant where I primarily work with clients to make fund election changes to their employee 401k plans. I plan on working at Fidelity Investments until graduation as I continue to develop skills including effective communication, problem-solving, and multitasking.

I am also involved with the UNT Student Investment Group (SIG) where I have worked my way up to the role of a Portfolio Manager. As a Portfolio Manager, I’m responsible for revaluing holdings in our student managed fund (+$1M AUM) and make decisions on the addition, liquidation, and allocation of our funds. I value companies via discounted cash flow models (DCF) and relative valuation.

When I am not working or studying I am usually spending time with friends, playing an instrument, playing chess, or reading about real estate.

I have been spending a lot of time studying real estate investing and business in the past year and it has changed how I see myself in the future. I have read some amazing books on the topic and it’s now a goal of mine to buy an investment property by the time I graduate in Spring 2023.
